Jensen named new Assistant Principal of Great Valley HS

The Great Valley School District Board of Directors recently approved the appointment of Dana Jensen as Assistant Principal of Great Valley High School, effective April 21, 2025.

Jensen brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of educational leadership to Great Valley High School. Her extensive background includes teaching, curriculum development, and administrative responsibilities as a department head.
“We are thrilled that Ms. Jensen is joining our administrative team,” said Superintendent Dr. Daniel Goffredo. “Her dedication to student success will be an invaluable asset to our school community.”
Jensen has been an educator for over two decades, most recently serving as a biology teacher and long-term substitute biology and chemistry teacher at Great Valley High School since 2023. Her responsibilities included designing and delivering engaging lessons in AP Chemistry, Standard Chemistry, Honors Biology, Standard Biology, and General Science.

Joining the Great Valley School District first as a teacher, and now as an administrator, has been a full circle moment for Jensen who attended Great Valley schools from first through tenth grade.
“I am so happy for this opportunity to grow within the district where I went to school,” shared Jensen. “We have excellent teachers here and I’m looking forward to working with the entire high school leadership team to support our staff and students.”
Prior to joining Great Valley High School, Jensen held various teaching positions at Westtown School, Phelps School, Polaris ELS, Fossil Ridge High School, and Thornton High School.
Jensen holds a master’s in educational leadership and principal license from Colorado State University, a secondary science teacher license from Metropolitan State College of Denver, and a Bachelor of Science in biological science from Colorado State University. She also holds a PA principal’s license K-12 and a PA professional teaching license, certified in biology and general science.
