DASD to host 3rd annual Culture Fest at Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center

The Downingtown Area School District, in collaboration with the Downingtown Community Education Foundation, is excited to announce the third annual Culture Fest, set to take place on September 27th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center. Following the overwhelming success of last year’s event, which drew over 1,500 attendees, this year’s Culture Fest promises to be an even more vibrant celebration of the district’s diverse community.
Culture Fest will showcase the exceptional talents of the district’s students through performances in music and dance, representing a wide array of cultures and countries. Attendees will also have the opportunity to savor a variety of international cuisines offered by student organizations and local food trucks. This event is free and open to all members of the DASD community.

The event is designed to promote cultural exchange and foster meaningful dialogue, emphasizing the importance of unity within the community. Justin Brown, the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, expressed his enthusiasm for the student-driven initiatives that play a central role in the event, noting the district’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and empathetic community.
“Culture Fest is a testament to the power of collaboration and the shared goal of creating a welcoming environment for all,” said Justin Brown. The Downingtown Area School District invites everyone to join in this celebration of diversity, unity, and cultural appreciation. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center library.
