Moving to a new server; some delays may be possible
After a number of years, The Times is moving from its somewhat out of date server to a shiny, new speedy server this week.
While exciting for the long run — fast page loads, the ability to build in some new capabilities — in the short term you may seem some disruption of pages, problems sending emails and so on. Also, because we have to “freeze” the server, we cannot add any new content...
Letter from the editor: A comment on comments
A few changes to our commenting system debut
By Mike McGann,
You may have noticed a few changes here at The Times over the past few months, from a new mobile and tablet-friendly design to this weekend’s evolution to a new commenting system — faced on the Facebook platform.
Like many other publishers, large and small, we’ve wrestled with the balance between both having a true back and forth...
Letter From The Editor: Shiny and new!
Dear Readers,
You may have noticed a few changes here at The Times in the last few days: a bit of a more contemporary look and — finally — proper compatibility with tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices.

We’re back — and thankful, to you our readers
By Mike McGann, Editor, The Times

It’s been an interesting week, to say the least.
A little before 11 a.m. on April 14, somewhere in the deep,...
Letter: Objects to writer’s published comments

I am reaching out once again as my initial letter was never published. I was very disappointed when I read an article regarding the stalking cases surrounding Lisa Robertson a host on QVC. An executive with this company, Kathy Brady Shea clearly stated that it was Miss Robertson’s fault that these guys were stalking her and perhaps it was her wardrobe to blame. Ms. Shea seemed astounded...
Sorry about that, folks
