MALVERN—Unionville improved to 2-0 on the season with a thrilling 9-8 overtime victory over Villa Maria Academy.
Jillian Zubillaga, who lead the Indians defense, grabbed the first draw control in
overtime and made a quick pass to Kris Abens, who dished the ball to
Becca Fieles who in turn gave it back to Abens who scored the winning goal, her 3rd
of the game just 23 seconds into overtime.
Kelly Close lit up the Hurricanes net as she posted 3 goals and 1 assist with Annabeth Donovan chipping in 2 tallies to compliment the goal and assist added by Kristin Newbrough.
Taylor Hollander, Finley Sutton, Rachel Hughes, and Becca Fieles each contributed to the scoring sheet having each having an assist.
Unionville net minder Nikki Bonaduce had another strong outing in goal recording 11 saves.
