Chrissie and Bethann have a combined 40+ years experience working in health education with youth, parents, schools and communities.
The first episode is titled “Not my kid is not a thing” and it highlights lessons learned from one family’s journey from substance use to recovery and resiliency. In this episode, our hosts spoke with Kim Porter, Executive Director of Be A Part of the Conversation. Listen in for tips, strategies and conversation about what parents can do now to prevent use and how to support your kids, and yourself, if your child is using substances.

The second and most recent episode is titled “All Things Vaping” and it discusses essentials parents need to know about nicotine and vaping products. In this podcast, our hosts spoke with Selena Morresi, MPH, CTTS, CHES, from Caron Treatment Centers and discussed when kids may try vaping for the first time, why it is so addictive and harmful, how it is not the same as “old school cigarettes,” and how to talk to your kids about vaping.
