Pocopson ready to rework comprehensive plan

The Barnard House, slated to be Pocopson's new municipal building in the coming years.

POCOPSON — Where do we want to be in ten years? That’s what officials in Pocopson Township are asking as they look to update the Township’s comprehensive plan. At Monday night’s Board of Supervisors’ meeting, officials asked for volunteers to join the task force.

Township Planning Commission Chair, Gary Summers will spearhead the task force initiative along with Supervisors’ Vice-Chair, Georgia Brutscher and a representative from the Chester County Planning Commission. Township officials are asking for support from significant landholders and business owners to help guide the township in its use of land over the next ten years.

The plan will cost $6000/year over a two year period with Chester County agreeing to pay for 75% of the project. — KELLY SIEHL
