POCOPSON — Join us for the fifth Founders Day celebration on Sunday September 18th, from 12 noon to 4 PM at Pocopson Park on Locust Grove Road! This year we are tipping our hats to the role that Southern Chester County and Pocopson played in the Underground Railroad. We will feature hay rides to historic Barnard House which was a safe house for escaping slaves. The Underground Railroad Committee will be at Barnard House to answer questions and the local libraries will feature books and information about the Underground Railroad. The Locust Grove Schoolhouse just south of the park will also be open for tours. Volunteer for a few hours and then enjoy some time with your neighbors and friends.
