Concert to benefit CVIM, May 4

Join Community Volunteers In Medicine for a Concert to Benefit Community Volunteers In Medicine on Saturday, May 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m.  Come enjoy an afternoon of good music for a good cause! Admission is FREE with the donation of a needed item per person.

Community Volunteers In Medicine (CVIM) is a free medical and dental clinic that serves the uninsured and underinsured of Chester County. It is supported 100% through donations and the volunteer services of physicians and dentists. Examples of needed items to donate for admission to the concert include: Extra Strength Tylenol (or generic); Metamucil (or generic); adult multivitamins; calcium supplement with Vitamin D; toothbrushes; toothpaste; floss; mouthwash (non-alcoholic); acne cream; bug spray; and a portable upper arm blood pressure monitor (Omron 3 Series available at CVS, Walmart and Amazon).

“The O’Rourkes” an Irish Folk Band performs from 2pm to 3pm. Ryan Leahan an R&B performer takes the stage from 3pm to 4pm. “The Fainz” a Rock & Roll Band performs from 4pm to 5pm.

This benefit concert is organized by Thomas McClure, a Boy Scout from Troop 31, for his Eagle Scout Project. “I hope the community will enjoy the bands, learn more about CVIM and extend their generosity to this worthwhile organization,” comments McClure.
