PHILADELPHIA — Internationally-exhibited artist Donna Usher has been selected to participate in the inaugural Philadelphia Fine Art Fair.
Usher, who lives in Chester County and has a studio in West Chester, will exhibit seven paintings. The fair offers Philadelphia area residents a unique opportunity to experience high quality modern and contemporary art directly presented by galleries in the United States and internationally. Usher was selected by the LGTripp Gallery, which has shown her work.
During the past three decades, Usher’s artwork has focused on spheres, circles and dots inspired by her trip to Australia to study Aborigine Art and work with the Aboriginal Artist Thanoupie.
Her artwork is in the permanent collections of the National Centre of Fine Arts, Cairo, Egypt; The Museum of Cozumel, Mexico; Reading Art Museum, PA; American Restaurant Association Corporate Offices, PA; Verizon Corporate Offices, PA; Franklin Mint, PA; Hercules Chemical Company, DE; West Chester University, PA; Moore College of Art and Design, PA, and the Downingtown Public Library, PA; as well as numerous private collections.

The Philadelphia Fine Art Fair will feature 35 prominent art galleries and 300 important artists. The fair will be held at the historic 23rd Street City Troop Armory, between Market and Chestnut streets, in Center City Philadelphia. The opening night preview is Thursday, April 4 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The show hours are Friday, April 5 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, April 6 from 11:00 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 7 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Usher received her BFA in Painting and BS in Art Education from Moore College of Art and Design. She earned her MFA Degree from the University of Delaware.
