Olivia Robb
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Washington College coxswain Olivia Robb (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) has been named to the 2018 College Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Pocock All-America first team. Robb, who completed her sophomore season in May, is the second coxswain and sixth different student-athlete in Washington College women’s rowing team history to earn All-America first-team honors.
Robb served as the coxswain of the Shorewomen’s first varsity eight this past season, leading that boat to an undefeated record against fellow NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region crews, a sixth consecutive Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championship, and a sixth consecutive appearance at the NCAA Division III Championships. (The Shorewomen placed eighth at the NCAA Championships.)
Earlier this season, Robb was named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete and earned a spot on the 2018 Academic All-MARC Team. She was named to the All-MARC Novice Team in 2017.
Robb is the second All-American coxswain in team history, joining Anna Germain ’03, who was named to the second team in 2002 and first team in 2003. The program’s other first-team All-Americans are Sara Beegle ’04 (2003 and 2004), Jackie Creitz ’17 (2016), Mickey Fili ’15 (2013, 2014, and 2015), and Caroline Perry ’11 (2008). Robb joins Fili and Perry as the only Washington College women’s rowing student-athletes to earn All-America first-team honors prior to their junior years.
