KENNETT SQUARE — The Kennett YMCA has a number of fun and exciting events coming in the coming weeks, in addition to the wide range of programs and activities for members. Here’s just a small sample:

YMCA of the Brandywine Valley Benefit Bike Ride 2011:  Sunday, September 11th @ 7am.  Enjoy a fun, family day out or challenge your cycling skills at the Y’s Benefit Bike Ride.  Start at the West Chester Y or Kennett Y to cycle the full 80 mile course, or choose distances of 40, 25, 15 or 8 miles.

Kennett Area YMCA Good Kids Golf Classic:  Tuesday, October 11th, @ Radley Run Golf Course.  Check in & range @ 11am.  Shotgun start @ noon.  Dinner immediately following.  $225/golfer, $850/foursome, $950/corporate foursome* (*includes sponsor board & program listing) – ALL includes range, box lunch, greens fees, cart, course refreshments, souvenir gift, and dinner.  Modified scramble format.  Prizes and contests, too!

ALL three events benefit our financial assistance program (“Good Kids”) to help ensure that no one is turned away from YMCA membership or programs due to an inability to pay.  Participation in any of these events will enable a child to attend summer camp, receive before and after school care, join a youth sports league and learn to swim.
