EAST MARLBOROUGH — In what is quickly becoming a can’t miss gathering of teachers, students, administrators, parents and members of the public at-large, the Unionville-Chadds Ford School district hosted it’s annual Community Breakfast, Saturday at Unionville High School.
As usual, there was a broad range of foods — many cooked by district administrators — including the much-loved/dreaded scrapple, a menu item added this year at the suggestion of Superintendent Sharon Parker, a Delaware County native, where the breakfast meat is more of a typical staple than in Chester County.
A steady stream of folks, ranging from families with school-age kids, to senior citizens, kept coming in as the morning ran on, most greeted personally by Parker — with many wishing her well on her upcoming retirement.
