WEST GOSHEN — A manhunt is now underway for the man who senselessly snuffed out a young life in an apparent case of road rage where Route 100 merges into US-202 during the Thursday evening rush hour — when an armed man shot and killed a young woman, township police said.
Bianca Nikol Roberson, 18, who graduated from West Chester Rustin High School just weeks ago, was shot in the head Thursday at about 5:30 p.m. while attempting to merge her Chevrolet Malibu where the road way narrows from two lanes to one near the ramp onto US 202. Police said Roberson was apparently jockeying with the driver of a red pickup truck for position when the man driving the truck apparently pulled out a gun and shot her in the head. Roberson’s car then rolled off the roadway, while the truck — according to surveillance video — fled up the shoulder and onto Us-202 before exiting at Paoli Pike.
That truck and its driver are now the subject of a manhunt. The man is described as a medium-build white male, 30 to 40 years old with blond or light brown hair. The truck is described as a small possibly a Chevrolet truck with faed red paint.
Although police have interviewed a number of witnesses to the incident already, they are asking that anyone who might have seen anything should contact them as soon as possible.
