Audevard picked as new Hillendale prinicipal

Michael Audevard

A somewhat familiar face will return to become the new principal at Hillendale Elementary School: Michael Audevard.

Audevard, pending formal approval by the Board of Education, will replace Steve Dissinger, who was named earlier this year as the new principal at Patton Middle School.

Although Audevard spent the last two years as the assistant principal at Concord Elementary School in the Garnet Valley School District, he previously was at Chadds Ford Elementary School as a classroom teacher.

According to Unionville-Chadds Ford School District Superintendent John Sanville, the search for the Hillendale Elementary School principal position began with a pool of more than 60 applicants that included both internal and external candidates.

The district then narrowed the field through an intensive and thorough interview process. Each candidate met with faculty, staff, parents, administrators, and Board members in a series of four interviews.  The comprehensive process helped us identify who would be the best fit as our next Happy Hillendale principal. In the end, Mike was the clear choice.
