Let’s Vote Chester County! Polls open at 7 a.m.

Election2016So, finally it comes down to this: casting your vote in a number of elections ranging from U.S. President to who represents you in the state legislature.

No more attack ads, no more mailers — just a trip to the polls to decide who wins and loses. Polls in Pennsylvania will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. If you are unsure of your registration status or where to vote, VotesPA.com has complete information for voters.

In addition to a ballot question on judges retirement age – a “Yes” vote would raise the age from 70 to 75 — the following offices are up for election today:

• President and Vice President of the United States

• One of Pennsylvania’s two U.S. Senators

• All of the state’s 18 members in the U.S. House of Representatives

• PA Attorney General

• PA Auditor General

• PA Treasurer

• Half of Pennsylvania’s state Senators (odd-numbered districts – 1st, 3rd…)

• All of the state House Representatives

The state has also set up a complete election returns site, which will update periodically throughout the evening with results after the polls close: http://www.electionreturns.pa.gov

Again, remember that no one is allowed to harass you at the polls (in the actual polling area — you do have to work your way through the procession of poll greeters allow to be no closer than 100 feet from the actual poling place) — if it happens, immediately report it. If you are challenged, make sure to cast a provisional ballot.
