Killion to hold COSTARS workshop, Oct. 6

Senator Tom Killion (R-9) and Senator Tom McGarrigle (R 26) will host two free COSTARS Workshops on Thursday, October 6 to provide information for local companies on state and local bidding opportunities. 

The first workshop will be hosted at 10 a.m. by the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, located at1600 Paoli Pike in Malvern.

A second event at 1:30 p.m. will be held at the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, located at 1001 Baltimore Pike, Suite 9 LL (lower level) in Springfield.

COSTARS is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s cooperative purchasing program, administered by the PA Department of General Services.  It allows COSTARS members, including local governments, public authorities, non-profit educational and health entities, school districts, and fire and rescue companies to purchase products and services from businesses through a state contract established by the PA Department of General Services.

Bruce Beardsley, Marketing Manager for DGS, will talk to suppliers and potential suppliers about the benefits of this procurement program, marketing tips, and contract opportunities and be available for question and answer following the presentation.
