EAST MARLBOROUGH — Unionville High School Rugby Club sent three teams to compete in the High School Rugby Championships at the Collegiate Rugby Championship 7’s Tournament this past weekend in Chester PA. One girls side and two boys sides from Unionville competed along with 29 other high school teams from around the country playing the exciting 7’s format that will be featured at the Olympics later this summer in Rio.
Unionville sent two boys sevens teams (pictured above) as well as a girls team to the High School Rugby Championships at the Collegiate Rugby Championship 7’s Tournament this past weekend in Chester.
This event capped another success season for the Unionville Rugby program that had more than 65 student-athletes participate. The Unionville Rugby Club played in multiple tournaments and the competitive PA Rugby League regular season. Check out the highlights at www.unionvillerugby.org.
