The poor weather — the remnants of Tropical Storm Betsy — have disrupted plans for local Memorial Day parades in Downingtown and Kennett Square today.
Although a less than perfect ending to what has been a glorious holiday weekend — the National Weather Service says that all is not lost and the sun may even peak out this afternoon. While is likely to remain cloudy with a possibility of spotty showers, the high should still hit 80 degrees and mot of the rain should move out of the area by mid-afternoon.
The Times wishes you a safe and happy Memorial Day.
Take a moment to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms today.
