Dear Readers,
You may have noticed a few changes here at The Times in the last few days: a bit of a more contemporary look and — finally — proper compatibility with tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices.
While we’re always looking to evolve and improve — and already have made a few tweaks to the new design based on your input — this is the first major site renovation since the launch of our first site in Oct., 2010.
In addition to being more device friendly, our new site is also more video friendly — something we expect to use more in the second half of 2016 (if you’re interested in sponsoring video content, please contact us at sales@chescotimes.com) including, potentially, live streaming of news, community and sporting events.
Although as you may know I struggled through some health issues during late 2015 and into this year, our readership stuck with us, even when at times, our content was uneven. Although we’re only recently getting back to full content (with more additions coming soon), our traffic continues to grow. April, 2016 was our biggest traffic month ever — and May, 2016 looks to be even bigger.
So thank you for your continued support — we welcome questions and suggestions.
From our local families to yours: have a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend!
