Public walk-through planned for Saturday evening
EAST MARLBOROUGH — If you see a Honda parked on the lawn of Unionville High School, it can mean just one thing: it’s time for the annual AfterProm event put on by the school’s PTO and a troop of hearty volunteers.
And as has been the case for the last several years, Scott Honda of Westtown, donates a car to be used as one of a number of prizes for students attending the event — designed to keep prom attendees safe and secure following their prom, this Saturday night. The event runs all night — and while each year’s theme is a closely guarded secret — and provides fun, food and entertainment for students all night following the prom.
There will be a public walk through of the preparations at the high school, Saturday between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. — an opportunity for the public to see all of the hard work and passion shown by a dedicated group of Unionville High School parents.
I know I speak for many, when I say thank you to all the parents who volunteered, community members and businesses who donated in order to make our UHS After Prom 2016 another wonderful night for our young people. Besides providing a night of fun activities, food and entertainment, over 300 of our young people got home safe and sound.
