Free screening of ‘Time out of Mind’ March 9

Time-Out-of-Mind-flyerPHOENIXVILLE — Representatives from Chester County’s Decade to Doorways and the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation have scheduled a free screening of “Time Out of Mind”, a film starring Richard Gere that depicts one man’s journey through homelessness. The screening, held at the Colonial Theatre, 227 Bridge Street in Phoenixville, is scheduled for Wednesday evening, March 9, 2016, at 7:05 p.m.

“This event will help to raise awareness of the current state of homelessness in Chester County, but as importantly, will help us to highlight the many organizations that are collaborating to prevent and end homelessness through the Decade to Doorways initiative,” said Pat Bokovitz, Director of the Chester County Department of Community Development, which oversees the Decade to Doorways initiative.

Lauren Hutzel, Administrator for Decade to Doorways added: “After watching this acclaimed film, we hope to spur the audience into three actions – to tell someone about the state of homelessness in Chester County, to give something to help end homelessness, and to get involved in an organization in Chester County that’s working to prevent and end homelessness.”

“Time Out of Mind” also features Ben Vereen, Jena Malone, Steve Buscemi and Kyra Sedgwick. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and can be obtained by visiting www.thecolonialtheatre.com/programs/time-out-of-mind/.
