UHS’ marching band named grand champs: Taxslayers Gator Bowl

Happy members of Unionville High’s marching band take a moment to enjoy being named Grand Champions.

JACKSONVILLE, FL  – Chester County’s own Unionville High School marching band took home the title of 1st place and was named overall Grand Champion – Class A at the January 2nd ‘Taxslayers’ Gator Bowl. The band took home an impressive $10,000 award for its accomplishment.

The battle to be named Grand Champion included the marching ‘Indians’ achieving top honors in the following categories: high percussion, high color guard, high drum major, high music, high visual and high overall effect.  G. Scott Litzenberg is the band’s director and has also recently garnished national recognition with his dedicated leadership to the 2015 Calvacade Tournament of Roses Honors Band.
