BIRMINGHAM — Radley Run continues to move to the forefront of West Chester area member owned Family Centered Country Clubs.
The Radley Run membership overwhelmingly passed a resolution to enhance and renovate an already outstanding golf course. Enhancements and upgrades are scheduled to begin this fall and will be completed prior to the start of the regular golf season in the spring of 2016. All bunkers are to be redone and where appropriate repositioned for today’s game with modern drainage and sand. Cart paths are being altered to improve playability, and an already active green drainage program will be continued.
Radley Run Country Club’s extremely active Racquets program is being furthered with the addition of two more Paddle Tennis Courts, opening up this incredibly well received sport to even more of the membership. Radley Run’s racquets program has, in the past four years gained regional prominence hosting tournaments, winning several interclub division championships and touting multiple national champions amongst its ranks. Thanks to former ATP tour player Nathan Healey as its Director and National Paddle Champion Laurie Hissey leading the Paddle Program Radley Run has grown its membership and play in all racquet sports. Most recently, Junior Coordinator Blake Williams led the Radley Run Junior Girls to the Philly League Junior Girls Interclub Championship.
Also included in the overall club enhancement project which will commence immediately was the approval to enhance and upgrade the club pool facilities and provide an even better setting for what has become the finest country club swim setting in the area. The club boasts the most active swimming program with over 180 swim team members engaged each summer and a busy calendar every day from the beginning of the season to the end.
All of these upgrades are being funded without assessment to the membership, and Radley Run continues its position as the best value locally, and most cost effective return on dollars spent for year round family enjoyment.
