Rachel Stoltzfus was presented with the Chester County Spirit of 4-H Award, Wednesday August 12, 2015 during the Chester County 4-H Fair. This Chester County 4-H award recognizes a 4-H member for demonstrating the most spirit, enthusiasm, and willingness to do anything for 4-H or the community.
Stoltzfus, who was nominated by Barbara Fuller, leader of the Chester County Beef Club, said “she has taken leadership roles as president of the beef club, tour guide at the 4-H Fair and speaking to the community promoting 4-H and agriculture. She is always willing to step up to a challenge.”
Also receiving recognition for their “Outstanding 4-H Spirit” were Coleman Anderson– member of Tri-Community Dairy Club, Alaina Davis – member of Southern Chester County Dairy Club, also active in Lancaster Co. Sewing Club, , Mackenzie Harrison – Textile Tornados – also a member of the Oxford Food and Nutrition Club and SPARKS 4-H Clubs, Charlotte Tompkins– Member of Windy Hollow 4-H Horse Club, Joseph Dinapoli – Member of the Oxford Junior Master Gardener Club, Jacob Beckman – Member of the CHROME 4-H Robotics Club and Paige Lowry – Member of Lead Changer’s 4-H Horse Club. Each of these members had been nominated by their 4-H club leader and were finalists in the award process. Congratulations to all those nominated.
The 4-H youth development program takes Land-Grant University knowledge and expertise to youth in urban, suburban, and rural communities across the nation.
