New venue, more balloons & expanded schedule
NEW GARDEN – The ninth Annual Chester County Balloon Festival is a must attend event providing family fun for all ages. This year’s Festival will take place at the New Garden Flying Field in Toughkenamon on Father’s Day weekend (June 19-21, 2015).
The airport is located at 1235 Newark Road just off Highway 1, allowing visitors from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York convenient access. The Festival is a non-profit organization with proceeds going to the Chester County Hero Fund and other local community groups.
The expanded 3-day schedule highlights over 20 hot air balloons, including Special Shape balloons, taking flight twice per day, nightly balloon glow, untethered and tethered balloon rides, and a walk-thru balloon. Other events include:
• Saturday night fireworks
• Pt-19 and Cessna 172 plane rides
• Helicopter rides
• Future Aviators Kid Zone featuring flight simulators and other hands-on projects.
• Hops and Grapes Wine and Beer Garden
• Local bands providing daily entertainment
• Over 100 food and craft vendors
• Fire Truck Parade and Rescue Demonstrations
• Be A Diver Pool
