Letter: Backs Morley for justice

To The Editor,

Letters1As a current West Grove Borough Councilman, as well as a former Republican Committeeman, I am supporting Nicole Morley for Magisterial District Judge. I am impressed with many of the unique qualities she brings to this position. Notably, Nicole was overwhelmingly endorsed by the Chester County Republican Committee.

Nicole was born and raised in Chester County, has an impressive educational and professional background, and shares her time and talents with our community. I also admire her strong family values. Lastly, she displays a very down-to-earth demeanor, and yet also demonstrates poise and polish. Please vote for Nicole Morley for Magisterial District Judge on Tuesday, May 19th, 2015

What a joke ! Anyone that knows Clyde Jacob would know he is not capable of writing that letter
So like a ventrolquists dummy he allows someone to move his mouth.Glad to know you know what poise and polish is , two things you are lacking!

  2. Avondale Very upset says:

Clyde (if I may call you by your first name) I don’t know what you do for a living, but I wouldn’t give up your day job! If you think what you just stated would make Morley better on the bench then Judge Seavey (whom you and your wife, I hear helped get elected even after knowing all the stories from 2009 which is being dug up again now) REALLY? You didn’t say anything about what impressed you about Morley?
Saying this “admire her strong family values” Are you trying to say Judge Seavey doesn’t?
I didn’t know to be born in Chester County made you better at what you do? I don’t think you come from Chester County so would I think less of you ?….. overwhelmingly endorsed by the Chester County Republican Committee.. Some is TRUE but you forgot to tell the public it was the GOP TEA PARTY!! I forgive you for leaving that out since I don’t think you were present. I know someone that was.
I keep hearing this is all about your friendship with Chip Pusey and how bad you feel for him about?. Who from what I understand was also part of the committee to elect Judge Seavey. Maybe just maybe some felt they would get something out of it for themselves?
Lastly, she displays a very down-to-earth demeanor, and yet also demonstrates poise and polish. How’s that when she puts her foot in your door so you can’t close it? Or when after being told the Seavey sign stays up and no thank you keep your sign, Morley still pulls out of the driveway after she puts a sign on the lawn!! Or going to a committee person’s home trying to put more pressure on them after being told by the committee person they are backing Seavey Again I say REALLY?
A VOTE for Seavey is a Vote, for many things he has shown in the pass 6 years but also including class ! Clyde, you really should reevaluate your thinking before people like you screw up a good thing this community already holds.

    • Well spoken Avondale! says:

Not sure who you are “Avondale Very Upset” but BRAVO! Not only are you brutally factual and to the point but you are clearly honorable for speaking the truth! I am a WG Borough resident and after reading Clydes letter am disgusted in him and his actions. He should be ashamed!

  3. Kate says:

I find it amazing that the endorsers of Morley are people no one has ever heard of like this guy — oh, and two constables who obviously need the work. Seavey’s list of endorsements is stellar, and people of stature and accomplishment in our community. Clearly, they are aligning themselves with the best.

  4. London Grove Resident says:

Morley was overwhelmingly endorsed by a Tea Party majority of committee people influenced by Jamie Cox. Cox has some sort of grudge against West Chester. With our country in a very sad state I would think the CAF (local tea party) would want to focus on a better fight against an unworthy candidate rather than running someone against a great sitting judge. The CAF has become who they despise most. God help the local republican party, and may he guide those who coordinated this attack on Matt Seavey back into the light.

  5. Michael says:

So I am supposed to vote for her becuase he is backed by the Republican party? The same party that backed Matt last election and isnt doing so becuase he is not bowing down to their tactics? Of all of the values listed above, Matt has them all as well, but he has one more thing, the most important, on the job experience!!!

  6. Officer for Seavey says:

I have been a law enforcement officer for over a decade now. I consider myself a bit of a journeyman and have worked in four different Pennsylvania counties. I have dealt with roughly 50 Magisterial District Judges amongst other career professionaIs. I can tell you there are very few, if any, that can meet the standards and personal integrity of Judge Seavey. Folks, it does not matter what side of the bench you are on… You want this man to hear your case. He is the real deal. He will look at the facts and he will treat you with dignity, respect and fairness. I take great pleasure in saying I will vote for Judge Seavey on May 19th and I encourage you all to do the same.

  7. Sick and Tired says:

Here we go again. Another erroneous letter from the Morley campaign over qualifying and glamourizing her. Let’s just vote and get this over with.

  8. Paula Goodall West Marlborough says:

So Clyde, judging by your description, you dont know her do you? She is the exact opposite of what you described her as. Start off with her conduct at last weekends Steeplechase in which she had all of her political signs up and was asked to take them down and she refused. ask any neighbors whose house she went to and see how they feel about her because I know several who were extremely annoyed with her. Ask about her Chester county court experience where never actually did a trial on her own and was only a lackey for the actual attorney handling the trial. ask about how many people she has making phone calls to get her in this position. she has no integrity is very dishonest and is flat out annoying.

  9. Tim says:

No thanks, I’ll be voting for Seavy. I have had the opportunity to speak and work with both in a personal and professional setting. Seavey is the better fit for judge and all around better person. In my opinion, the word “honorable” will forever be attached to his name regardless of the outcome. Congratulations Matt, you made this community proud through your hard work, dedication and personal touch. You have already won in my book. Thank you.
