EAST MARLBOROUGH — He’s “Some Pig!”

Join Director Betsy Ballard and the Unionville High School Drama Guild as they bring the beloved children’s classic – “Charlotte’s Web” to life Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.

Children and adults alike are thrilled by Joseph Robinette’s stage adaptation of  E. B. White’s story of Wilbur, the little pig, who becomes famous through the antics of his clever friend, Charlotte and the barnyard filled with chatty animal neighbors.

As the smallest pig in the litter, Wilbur struggles to survive. The farmer’s daughter, Fern, begs her father, Mr. Arable, to allow her to nurse the piglet back to health. With Fern’s love, Wilbur thrives and moves to Zuckerman’s Farm, where he learns the true meaning of friendship from a wise spider named Charlotte.

When Mr. Zuckerman’s plans to fatten up the pig for an unsavory reason become apparent, Charlotte jumps into action. With the help of her “terrific” webs, Templeton, therat and other barnyard friends, Wilbur instead becomes the prize-winning pig of the County Fair and the most famous pig ever!

Lessons of friendship, loyalty, and truth bind this story together and show readers that friends come in all shapes and sizes.
