Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi (R-9) is hosting a Kids’ Fun Fair at West Chester East High School this Saturday, Sept.r 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will be held rain or shine. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to attend with their children and grandchildren.

“The Kids’ Fun Fair is one of my favorite events,” Pileggi said. “It’s always great to talk to so many constituents, and the event features many interactive and educational exhibits. In addition, representatives from a wide variety of community organizations and government agencies will be there to provide information about the services they provide for area families and children.”

Programs at the Kids’ Fun Fair include exhibits from the Philadelphia Zoo and the Franklin Institute. The Philadelphia Zoo will present its Zoo on Wheels “Who’s Who at the Zoo” program, and the Franklin Institute will offer its Traveling Science Show, “The Weather Show.” Other activities include Boy Scouts of America Chester County Council Soap Box Derby, music, face-painting, a moon bounce, and refreshments.

Also scheduled to be on hand are representatives from many local and state agencies, including the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, which will have a Humvee on display, the Chester County Library System, the Chester County Sheriff’s office, the West Goshen Township Police Department, and the Goshen Fire Company.
