EAST MARLBOROUGH — Seven seniors at Unionville High School have opted to serve their nation after next week’s graduation.
Four students will continue their education in college while working toward a military commission: Brittany Stanczuk, who will join the Army ROTC program at University of Rhode Island; Thomas Edwards, who will attend the United States Military Academy at West Point; Colin Martin, who will join the Army ROTC program at University of Tennessee and Sebastian Teulen will enter U. S. Marine Corps program at The Citadel.
Three other UHS grads will join the military as enlisted members: including Evan Hilt and Stephan Tryens, who have enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bas deVries has enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
Hmmm. You have a point — we just listed the IDs as presented in the district release (I double checked, figuring on a lack of coffee error by me, but the caption matches what we were provided) but yes, the shirts don’t seem to match the info we were provided.
Just FYI — the photo caption doesn’t seem to match the photo in terms of the Marines T-shirts the 2 boys on the right are wearing … According to the caption they should be wearing West Point and Army ROTC shirts.
