Paul F. Huberty will assume post previously held by Alice Moorhead
The senior vice president for strategic planning and marketing at Chester County Hospital will take over as board chairman of La Comunidad Hispana (LCH), the Kennett Square nonprofit announced in a news release on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Paul F. Huberty, who is taking the reins from Alice Moorhead, said LCH offers quality services to the community and his goal for the coming years is to build on the organization’s success. LCH has a long tradition of serving the southern Chester County community, Huberty said.
“For the past 40 years LCH has developed an expertise and deep understanding of and connection with the Hispanic community. We are a welcoming and full service organization that provides quality health and social services, and we understand how an individual’s background and culture can affect their overall health.”
Huberty has been a board member for three years, joining after being contacted by Margaret Rivello, former director of the Chester County Health Department and an LCH board member. “We worked together on several health-related projects,” he said.
La Comunidad Hispana was established in 1973 as a community-based nonprofit organization to empower immigrants and low-income residents in Chester County to stay healthy, build strong families and lead productive, fulfilling lives. LCH is a culturally competent, bilingual, bicultural agency that reflects the community it serves. For more information, go to www.lacomunidadhispana.org or call 610-444-7550, ext. 242.
