URA partnering with UHS baseball team to boost younger players

UHSBaseballlogo-300x273Ready to join the big leagues? The Unionville Recreation Association (URA) is proud to partner with Unionville High’s baseball team for a baseball hitting clinic for players ages 8 to 14.

 The clinic will offer a chance for aspiring stars to develop their hitting and tune their  swing under the tutelage of UHS head baseball coach Mike Magee, his staff, and his players, who clinched the Ches-Mont American League Championship in 2013.

Pete Hissey, a former UHS player who is now in the minor leagues for the Boston Red Sox, will be a guest instructor as part of the clinic this coming Saturday, Jan. 25.

The dates are Saturday, Jan. 25, and Saturday, Feb. 1, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.,  and Saturday, Feb. 8, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Unionville High School gym.

Registration is $75 with all proceeds going to the UHS Diamond Club, the baseball team’s booster club. To register, email Coach Magee at coachmagee8@gmail.com.
