PennDOT: Vegetation removal to continue on U.S. 1

Work will be done southbound between Parkerville Rd. and Rt. 52

imgBOMOHomeArea roadwork has been scheduled this week, said an announcement on Friday, Dec. 13, from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). PennDOT wants motorists to be mindful of possible delays.

Crews will be continuing to remove vegetation on southbound U.S. 1 in Kennett Township between Parkersville Road and Rt. 52. The maintenance will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., resulting in intermittent lane closures from Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 20.

Brush-cutting will also be the continued focus of crews working on Birmingham Road in Birmingham and East Bradford Townships. Lane restrictions will occur between Rt. 52 and Brintons Bridge Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 20.

Utility installation is expected to cause lane restrictions on Street Road (Rt. 926) between Byrd and Wollaston Roads in East Marlborough Township from Thursday, Dec. 19, through Friday, Dec. 20. The work will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
