Police: Driver who crashed under influence

Image 2Troopers from the Avondale barracks responded to Rt. 52, north of Hillspring Road, in Pennsbury Township at 3:40 p.m. on Oct. 7 for a one-vehicle crash, state police said.  Upon investigation, troopers determined that Hugo Lopez, 31, of Wilmington, De., had been driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

A traffic stop on Fairville Road, south of Cossart Road, in Pennsbury Township, on Oct. 1 led to an arrest, police said. Crystabelle A. McGrath, 20, of Linwood, was found to be driving under the influence at 11:01 p.m., police said.

A possible dog-law violation on Sunday at the KOA Campground in Newlin Township was turned over to the state game warden, said state police from the Embreeville barracks. Police said a 67-year-old Kennett Square woman was accused of having unleashed dogs, which allegedly got into a fight at 6:25 p.m. with a dog owned by a 57-year-old Brookhaven woman, who was bitten as a result.  Police said the participants were not identified because they did not issue a citation.
