A number of Patton Middle School students met last week with members of the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company, to present money they raised, as well as a thank you for their service to the community. From Left, Dan Tracey, Steve Nuse, Lolo Hanretta, Lindsay Bond, Sydney Horne, Makayla Bucci, Kelly McLennan, Bobby Abel, and Mike Wells. Not pictured members of “Girls on Track” are Harini Peri, Abby Massih, Coaches, Charlie Massih and Jen Horne.

“Girls on Track” an afterschool, YMCA-sponsored club at Patton Middle School visited the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company last Monday evening to thank the all-volunteer fire company for its dedication and service.  The girls completed a 5k run last weekend, earning money per miles run, which they donated to Po-Mar-Lin.

“Girls on Track” also presented the firemen and woman with homemade treats and handmade Thank You cards, plus Gatorade and waters to use when called out on alarms.

This club was the first group under Newlin Township’s newly organized Fire and Emergency Medical (FEMS) Services Support Committee to show their support and appreciation for all the long hours and selfless acts these Po-Mar-Lin volunteer firemen and women contribute to the local community.
