MALVERN —With one of the youngest teams in Chester County, the Unionville High School softball team overcame a slow start to the 2013 season and rallied to finish with a very respectable .500 record — and a ton a promise for the coming seasons — capping the year with 6-2 win over over Great Valley, Monday.

The Indians (9-10 Ches Mont, 10-10 overall) ended the season with a strong performance against the Patriots.  Meredith Kurey led the way with three hits and two runs scored.  Madi Ross, Austin Langerhans, and Elise Rocconi each had two hits.  Langerhans, a sophomore, had a home run, and she also picked up the win allowing just five hits.
