Dan Navarro scheduled at the Kennett Flash on Friday
Billing himself as “a known abuser of acoustic guitars,” a longtime singer-songwriter is bringing his talents to the Kennett Flash on Friday.
For over thirty years, Dan Navarro has written, sung, played, and acted his way through a diverse career. A songwriter for artists who include Pat Benatar, The Bangles, Jackson Browne, and The Temptations, Navarro recorded and toured for more than two decades with the late Eric Lowen in the acoustic duo Lowen & Navarro.
Navarro has also performed as a singer and voice actor in films such as “The Lorax,” “Happy Feet,” and “The Emperor’s New Groove.” He has worked as an activist in Washington on intellectual property, performer, and songwriter issues, and he serves as an institutional volunteer on the boards of such organizations as the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), Folk Alliance International, and the Golden West Chapter of the ALS Association.
The performance will be held at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, or $18 at the door. The Flash is located at 102 Sycamore Alley, Kennett Square, 19348. For more information, call 484-732-8295 or visit www.kennetflash.org. To learn more about Navarro, visit http://www.dannavarro.com.
