ATGLEN — It had been a bit of a tough first week for the Unionville High School softball team, but an offensive break out and strong pitching guided it to an 11-0 win over Octorara, Thursday.
Sophomore pitcher Austin Langerhans — who impressed Wednesday in a tough loss to West Chester Rustin — picked up right where she left off, hurling a four-hit shutout in six innings of work for the win.
And the Indians (1-2) got their bats going, too. Junior catcher Kate Mims was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI, while Mandy Hammond and Elise Rocconi also had two hits on the day.
