Area road projects to prompt lane restrictions

 Work ranges from spray patching to bridge overhaul

Image 7The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced upcoming and ongoing road projects on Friday.

Intermittent lane closures are expected from Monday through Friday on U.S. 1 in both directions for spray patching. The work, which will be done from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will occur from the Maryland state line to Pennsbury Township, also affecting New Garden, Kennett and East Marlborough Townships.

Lane restrictions are likely from Monday through Friday for shoulder work on Rt. 926 in East Marlborough, West Marlborough, Kennett and Pennsbury Townships – from Rt. 841 to Rt. 52 – from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Shoulder work and bridge repair is planned for Creek Road at Old Kennett Road in Kennett Township on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Utility installation will result in lane restrictions on Lenape Road in Pocopson Township between Clarks and Winston Lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday through Monday.

Brandywine Creek Road in Newlin Township is closed and detoured between Strasburg and Laurel Forge Roads until July for bridge reconstruction.
