E. Marlborough police seek help on stolen saddle

Saddle

East Marlborough Police are seeking help in locating this custom saddle, stolen along with a BWM X5 from Marlborough Village, late Sunday or early Monday morning.

EAST MARLBOROUGH — Car thieves in the township may have gotten more than they expected when a BMW X5 was stolen late Sunday or early Monday from Marlborough Village: an expensive custom saddle.

While State Police are investigating the stolen car, township police have put the word out through the local equestrian community to be on the lookout for anyone attempting to sell the custom saddle.

Police describe the saddle as follows: black county stabilizer XTR leather. 17.5 seat, forward flaps with a knee roll on the front and calf roll on the back. Extra short skirt flaps. It has worn leather on the third holes of the girth bullets.

If some sees a saddle matching that description or someone offers to sell them one, they are asked to contact township police immediately.

“If anyone observes the saddle or hears of someone attempting to sell a saddle please let me know,” said police Lt. Robert Clarke.
