PennDOT: Roadwork may cause minor delays

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has scheduled the following maintenance on area roadways. Motorists should anticipate brief delays.

Intermittent lane closures will occur on Brinton’s Bridge Road in Birmingham Township for brush work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.

The work will continue  on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. when crews move to Wylie Road, and they will move to Birmingham Road between Brinton’s Bridge Road and Rt. 926 on Thursday.

Brush work will result in lane closures from Monday through Friday on U.S. 1 in Kennett and Pennsbury Townships from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Starting on March 4, bridge reconstruction work will close and detour Brandywine Creek Road in Newlin Township between Strasburg Road and Laurel Forge Road.  The $7.4 million project is scheduled for completion on Aug. 9.
