EAST MARLBOROUGH — Despite a strong second half, Unionville could not overcome a slow start and fell to Nueva Esperanza in the finale of the the Unionville Holiday Tournament, Friday night.
Junior forward Dan McCloskey led the Indians (3-6) with 12 points, while senior forward Kyle Fries added 11 points.
The Toros (6-3) ran out to a 24-13 halftime lead and Unionville could not close the gap, despite a furious rally in the final quarter.
