Longwood Rotary President George Gower presents Unionville High School student Meghan Pierson with a certificate naming her Student of the Quarter.
Unionville High School senior Meghan Pierson has been named Longwood Rotary Club Student of the Quarter.
Pierson has been a drum major for the Unionville Marching Band for the past two years.
“Working with band members taught me so much about leadership,” she said.
Pierson completed all three major projects for her to earn her Girl Scout Gold award. She tutors Unionville Elementary Spanish students to give them a head start in the classroom.
Pierson is also president of the Ronald McDonald Club at Unionville High School, and is one of the school’s top students. She is thinking about attending Penn State’s Schyrer’s Honors College.
