A downed tree wrecked this late-model Toyota sport utility vehicle ion Route 82 n East Marlborough, Tuesday, but the driver, township officials said, escaped injury. The roadway was closed most of Tuesday.
EAST MARLBOROUGH — A tree fell on Route 82, crushing a sport utility vehicle, Tuesday morning.
The woman — unidentified by township officials — driving the late model Toyota escaped injury when the tree fell between Marlbrooke Way and Spottswood Drive. That section of Route 82 was closed most of Tuesday as public works employees worked to clear tree debris from the roadway.
In addition to the severely damaged vehicle, the tree apparently damaged wires along the roadway as well.
That lady was so lucky! And most of East Marlborough in that area was also out of power for quite a while on Tuesday.
